We are a creative film and documentary production house based in Nairobi, Kenya — a collective of storytellers, visual artists, and strategists driven by passion and big ideas.
At our core, we believe in the power of storytelling to move people, spark change, and make a lasting impact. Whether it’s through gripping documentaries, brand films, social impact stories, or corporate videos, we partner with organizations to craft visual narratives that not only inspire, but also deliver results.
With a keen eye for detail and a heart for authenticity, we offer a full suite of production services — from concept development to final cut — designed to help our clients communicate with clarity, emotion, and purpose.
No matter the size of your story, we’ll bring it to life in a way that’s bold, beautiful, and unforgettable.
Our history is a tapestry of triumphs, challenges, and cultural exchanges, shaping our identity and driving our passion to produce and share genuine stories.
2025 marked the beginning of a new chapter. We are undergoing a full brand refresh — a reimagining of Tek that honors where we’ve come from while boldly stepping into where we’re going. It’s not just a new logo or look; it’s a renewed promise to our clients, our team, and our community. We’re not just growing — we’re evolving. And the best part? We’re just getting started.

We expanded our production office, making room for even more creativity and collaboration. Most importantly, we celebrated 10 years in business — a full decade of passion, resilience, and growth. It was a moment of deep gratitude, not just for how far we’ve come, but for the people who’ve made the journey with us.
Creatively, we hit new heights. We were honored to produce a Huawei TVC featuring Eliud Kipchoge — a project that pushed our creative limits and raised the bar for what we could do. We also supported the KCB Bank rebrand, another proud moment in our long-standing relationship. This was the year we welcomed our first female videographer into the production team, continuing our journey toward inclusivity and representation in the creative industry.
We out grew our space and moved into a larger office, giving us the room to dream bigger. We also installed an archiving management server, enhancing our backend systems to keep up with growing demand. That year, we embraced live streaming, opening up new ways for our clients to connect with their audiences in real time. It was a year of scaling up, both in size and in capability.
This was a year of big creative leaps. We formally created the Production Department, giving structure to our core creative arm. It was also the year we produced our first-ever TV commercial — the AJUA TVC — and worked on one of the most iconic ads of the decade: the Eliud Kipchoge M-PESA 1:59 TVC. These projects were not just career highlights; they were cultural moments, and we were honored to be part of them.
The global pandemic changed everything, and so did we. We pivoted to focus more on human-centered storytelling, leaning into meaningful narratives that reflected the times. We produced emotional, insightful documentaries for the Safaricom Foundation, and one of our proudest works: the Safaricom @20 three-part documentary. These stories reminded us of why we started Tek — to capture the heart of humanity through film.
As we matured, we saw the need to structure our work even more. We launched a fully-fledged archiving department, enhancing how we manage and store client data. That year, we also proudly hired our first female photographer, making a meaningful step toward gender inclusivity in our team. To top it off, we went live with our first website, opening a new window for the world to see who we were and what we stood for.
For the first time ever, we took the team out of the office for a team-building retreat in Naivasha. It was more than just a getaway — it was a moment for us to reflect, recharge, and reconnect. We laughed, we strategized, and we realized just how far we had come. That experience bonded us in a way that only shared growth can, and it solidified our belief in the power of community within our company.
We took a bold step forward and officially became Tek Production Services Limited. The incorporation was a defining moment that affirmed our legitimacy and growth. We were no longer just a small partnership; we were a registered company ready to take on bigger challenges. That same year, we landed a massive project with Safaricom to deliver photography, videography, and editing services. This partnership would go on to be one of the most significant relationships in our journey.
This year was full of milestones. We moved into our first physical office space at Gracelands Flats, giving our growing team a dedicated place to create and collaborate. We also celebrated a major achievement—winning our first-ever tender with KCB Bank. It was a clear sign that big industry players were beginning to see and trust us. That same year, we purchased our first staff car—another proud moment that made us feel like a real, growing business. We were moving—literally and figuratively.
With consistent projects and more demand, we realized it was time to begin building a permanent team. In 2014, we hired our first full-time staff members — a small, committed group of less than five — who became the heartbeat of Tek. These early team members carried our vision on their shoulders and helped us lay the foundation for a strong, values-driven culture that continues to shape us to this day.
After five years of groundwork, growth, and learning, we landed our very first client — MultiChoice Kenya. It was a pivotal moment for us. Getting that opportunity gave us our first real taste of what it meant to turn our passion into professional service. It validated our hustle and pushed us to operate with excellence, knowing that our work was being seen on a bigger stage. We were finally in business.
In 2007, we officially registered Tek as a locally owned partnership company.
At the time, all we had was a shared dream, a deep passion for storytelling, and a relentless desire to create something meaningful. We didn’t have much in terms of resources, but we had a vision — to build a creative production house that would not only tell compelling stories but also create impact for brands, institutions, and communities. That dream became the seed that Tek grew from.
